Canas is facing drugs probe

Argentine tennis player Guillermo Canas has admitted he is under investigation by the ATP Tour for a positive doping test.

The world No8 claims he didn't knowingly take any banned substance and expects to be cleared.

He said: "I trust in the system. I hope this is just a mistake and nothing more."

The ATP was analysing traces of a diuretic found in a sample taken at a tournament in Acapulco in February. The 27-year-old was seeded seventh for Wimbledon but withdrew beforehand and has now pulled out of next month's Davis Cup matches against Australia.
