Brown ponders bid for Boro's Boateng as Hull seek Premier League pedigree

Middlesbrough's George Boateng is interesting Premier League new boys Hull City.


Boateng expressed a wish not to be a bit-part player at the Riverside this season - a request that Boro boss Gareth Southgate can't meet.

And the combative 32-year-old midfielder would provide some top-flight experience that City boss Phil Brown believes could prove invaluable ahead of a long Premier League season.

However Boateng's situation has also been monitored by interest  from Celtic, Sunderland and Spurs.
