Brentford offer Charlton a deal

13 April 2012

Brentford have offered Charlton a compromise deal over payments for striker Mark McCammon.

The centre-forward cost the Bees £100,000 in July 2000 with a further £1,000 per game after 50 appearances. But he has been left in the reserves ever since reaching the 50-mark.

Chairman Ron Noades said: "We have offered Charlton a compromise of £250 per game instead of £1,000. In my mind he's not worth £1,000 a game but it's completely up to Steve Coppell who he picks. He's available to play."

Darren Powell has recovered from injury but Ben Burgess looks almost certain to miss out.
