Boston to hold more Gazza talks

14 April 2012

Boston manager Steve Evans is to hold further talks with Paul Gascoigne in a bid to bring the former England star to York Street.

Evans, along with chairman Jon Sotnick, is due to fly out to Portugal on Tuesday for a meeting with the former Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio and Rangers playmaker to discuss a possible coaching role.

The Pilgrims boss has already held initial talks with Gascoigne and his agent, and he is looking to make more progress.

Evans said: "We would love Paul to come to York Street in a coaching capacity.

"We have already had some positive talks with Paul and we would like to think that we have something that would interest him and fit his needs.

"It would be great to have him at the club because he is the type of person that everyone can learn something from.

"We remain positive that the talks will go well but we know that Paul has a number of other options to consider."
