Boat Race is simply the best

Oxford's resident American Brian Palm has dismissed claims that the Boat Race is nothing but a society event - and suggested it is the envy of world rowing.

The race between Cambridge and Oxford has an estimated world-wide television audience of 400 million viewers and Palm said: "I regard the occasion and the challenge as the pinnacle of world rowing, outside of the Olympics."
