Allen proud of Bees

Martin Allen today paid tribute to Brentford's fighting spirit after his second successive win as manager.

First-half goals from Jay Tabb and Michael Dobson secured a 2-1 victory at Hartlepool which pulled the club out of the bottom four.

Allen said: 'It was a great result and a very good performance. I asked them for that sort of effort and I'm proud of the way they've responded.'
