All 130,000 tickets for the dual venue V pop festival have been sold - five months in advance.

Tickets were changing hands on Internet auction site eBay yesterday, but festival director Bob Angus advised people not to buy for fear of being disappointed.

'My advice to the unlucky ones who didn't get a ticket is to try again next year,' he added. Oasis and the Scissor Sisters will headline the event on August 20-21 at Weston Park, Staffordshire, and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.

It will be broadcast on Virgin Radio.
