Perhaps the stresses and strains of being a superstar had simply taken their toll. Or maybe she was just wearing uncomfortable shoes.

But as Uma Thurman emerged giggling from the London restaurant Hakkasan - renowned for its delicious cocktails - in the early hours of yesterday, she appeared a little wobbly on her 4in stilettoes.

The Pulp Fiction actress was propped up by her boyfriend, Andre Balzas as they made for a waiting car. An onlooker said: 'Uma certainlylooked like she had been enjoying herself. Andre helped her into the car and, after sharing a kiss, they sped off.'

Earlier, the 34-year-old had attended the Leicester Square premiere of her new movie, Be Cool, with co-star John Travolta - but shunned the official after-film party in favour of Hakkasan.

Be Cool does not look like matching the success of the pair's previous joint effort, Pulp Fiction. Several filmgoers left early.
