Tom Hardy's 1990s mixtape has surfaced online and it's amazing

Tom Hardy’s unreleased 1999 rap album has surfaced online after producer Edward Tracy released it into the wild, and fans have gone crazy.

Tracy – known as Eddie Too Tall – posted the 18-track compilation online for fans of the Hollywood star to enjoy this week.

Hardy, 40, is listed by his rapper name Tommy No 1 and raps on all tracks, with Tracy the lyricist and producer.

Fans of Hardy were aware of his wannabe rapper past as the star has alluded to his pastime in several interviews.

Back in 2011, Hardy told BBC Newsbeat that he had a record deal at the age of 15 when he just started out rapping.

The Dark Knight Rises actor said: “I started out rapping when I was 14 or 15. Because I come from a nice middle-class neighbourhood it was a very hard sell. And I wasn't very good!

"I used to be with the guy who managed Leela James and Lauren Hill, Pras, the Fugees and all that. I worked out with (Grammy winning producers) Warren Riker and Gordon Williams. I've recorded loads of stuff but it's never been released.”

The Internet is loving Hardy’s work with some calling for it to be loaded onto Spotify.

On the upload, the album – titled Falling On You’re A*se – is described more as a mixtape by Tracy.
