Bling bling: Fannypack will be performing at Return to New York, Saturday

Dressing down rules, but every now and then it's nice to make an effort of a night out.

1. Return To New York

The Conran-designed boutique hotel hosts the fashionistas club du jour with Debbie Harry, Fannypack and T.Raumschmiere performing live, with Queens Of Noize, Dave Clarke, Arthur Baker and Sean McClusky on the decks.

2. NagNagNag

NagNagNag's fashionable reputation has snowballed into something of a freak show but it's as popular as ever, with Joan Of Ass joining Jonny Slut and JoJo De Freq next week.

You gotta look stush for this urban night (which has added Shortee Blitz to its line-up), as a smartly dressed colleague wearing trainers recently found out.

4. Tantra

A favourite for fashion-industry jollies, word of Tantra's caged dancefloor, low-cushioned lounge seating, fine cocktails and clean decor has begun to spread. Tantra hosts MTV's Base Lounge.

5. Twice As Nice

Tan came to define British bling - ice (diamonds to you and me), fur, Gucci and Prada were the order of the day in its prime. TAN celebrates seven years of fly people getting down in October with Wayne Wonder and Keisha White.
