The hapless Big Brother housemates failed their weekly challenge for a fifth time missing out on the chance of livening up the week with a grand farewell feast.

Their latest failure comes as Big Brother host Davina McCall said even she found the last week a bit boring.

She told The Sun: "As a viewer the last week has always been a bit boring to watch for me because - when there are only four in the house - it is so quiet."
But Big Brother has said tantalisingly that a surprise may be sprung on the housemates before they leave.

Since the show began, the celebrity-wannabes in the fly-on-the-wall house have blundered their way through tasks, repeatedly missing out on treats and extra money for food.

Yesterday, ahead of Friday's final night when the winner will collect £70,000, they failed again, when they were unable to guess how each other had answered a series of questions.

All week the five remaining housemates, Cameron, Steph, Jon, Ray and Scott, have been asked their opinions on a wide range of issues.

Each was called into the Diary Room to guess how the others had answered with the aim of matching 11 of the 15 answers. Between them they only got eight right. The five now lose the chance of a Christmas-themed party.

Meanwhile, Cameron's confession that he is a virgin has left the bookies facing a hefty payout after it boosted his popularity as Big Brother favourite.
Ladbrokes has now slashed his odds even further to make him the 1-12 cert to win.

Earlier this week fish trader Cameron, 32, said he was saving himself for marriage. And since then punters have been flocking to back him as the winner.
Scott is losing his appeal, drifting from 2-1 to 5-1 according to the firm, although he remains second favourite. Steph is the least fancied of the four, for whom viewers can vote at 33-1, while Ray is at 12-1.

The public cannot choose Jon who is exempt because he was voted back into the house.

Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "Cameron is the hottest Big Brother favourite ever.

"It's one-way traffic for Cameron, he's being backed off the boards."

Mr Lush added that the favourite was picking up strong support from the Orkney Islands where he lives through phone and Internet flutters.
