Stacey Solomon has said that she was “scared” to tell people she was home alone after her husband Joe Swash took their older kids away.

The Loose Women star revealed she hasn’t seen Rex, four, and 22-month-old Rose for a week as the former EastEnders actor brought them to Spain to visit him mother, where she lives for the summer.

The 33-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to shared her excitement to pick them up from the airport in a video captioned, “time to pick up my babies”.

She told her social media followers: “I’m just about to go and pick up Joe and the kids from the airport.

“I haven’t said anything, because basically Joe’s mum lives in Spain for the summer so he wanted to take the kids out to see her.

“But he didn’t feel confident taking all three, so he took Rose and Rex with him for a week to go and see his mum and I kept Belle with me,” Solomon continued.

“She’s basically been coming everywhere with me for the last week and I haven’t seen Rex and Rose for a whole week!”

While noting it was the longest time she’s ever spent apart from her little ones, the presenter also admitted that she didn’t announce that Swash and the kids were away because she felt vulnerable being home alone with baby Belle.

The Sort Your Life Out star explained: “I didn’t say anything while they were away because it’s scary if people know it’s just me and Belle on our own at home together, so I didn’t say anything.

“But today’s the day I finally get to go and pick them up and I’ve missed them so much.

“Like, I literally cannot to squeeze them! This is the longest I’ve been away from them ever, so I’m going to get my babies back!”

Swash’s trip to Spain comes days after the family – including Solomon’s two sons Zachary, 15, Leighton, 11, from a previous relationship – enjoyed a break to the five-star Regnum Carya Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.
