Sacked Libertines star hits back

Drug addict rocker Pete Doherty tonight vents his anger about his sacking from The Libertines - in an unlikely interview for TV's Newsnight studio.
The singer, booted out for failing to curb his £1,000-a-day heroin and crack habit, was invited on to the BBC2 show after his mother Jacqueline wrote to plead for understanding for her son.
Doherty, 25, said he felt bad about the hurt he caused his mother but denies he is a dangerous role model for fans.
He complains he was treated badly by The Libertines, adding: 'They left me by the side of the road with a plastic bag and all kinds of bitterness.'
