Madonna is living in fear of a stalker who sends her aggressive letters demanding sex, it was reported today.

The singer is so terrified of the obsessive middle-aged American she fears she may be shot - like John Lennon.

The stalker is said to have plagued the star since the start of her Re-Invention tour in May. A huge volume of letters is being hand-delivered to her New York home and he has followed her around the world.
