'Golden Couple' Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave were today celebrating winning the reality TV show Celebrity Love Island.

Presenters Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook announced the winners after the public voted last night for one boy and one girl to win £50,000 each.
Fran physically shook and was lost for words after being declared the male half of the winning couple.

He told the presenters: "I am completely stuck for words, I am really shocked. The whole experience has been amazing."

Jayne said it was "unbelievable" the public had voted for her to win.

However, she refused to comment on her feelings for footballer Lee Sharpe who 'binned' her at the beginning of their stay before making his move on Abi Titmuss.

And after describing Fran as like a brother, she then confessed he had had an effect on her at times with his 'growly' voice.

Jayne pipped Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon to the winning female position, while footballer Lee lost out to nightclub owner Fran.

The 13 original contestants were whittled down to the remaining four after five weeks on the Fijian island.

The other singleton contestants included model Abi, Lady Isabella Hervey, David Beckham's former personal assistant Rebecca Loos, model Calum Best, former EastEnders stars Judi Shekoni and Michael Greco, Playboy model Nikki Zierling, former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan and athlete Du'aine Ladejo.

Celebrity pairings during the ITV show included Rebecca and Calum sneaking off into the bathroom and Lee and Abi sharing a drunken kiss.
All the contestants were reunited for a celebration on the island following last night's announcement.
But it wasn't all good news as Bookies William Hill took a hit after the two hot favourites won.
Jayne finished at 2/9 favourite after a strong last minute gamble for her to win.
Spokesman Rupert Adams said: "Definitely not one of the better results.
"We will be hoping to do better on Big Brother over the coming weeks."
