Kerry Katona has made tearful phone calls to ex-husband Brian McFadden pleading with him not to take their children away from her.

"Wit's end": Katona fears Brian McFadden will win custody

The 28-year-old reality TV star fears she could lose custody of their daughters Molly, seven and Lilly-Sue, six, after she was caught on film last month snorting cocaine at home.

The girls were reportedly in the house at the time, and now former Westlife star Brian, 29, who was married to Katona for four years, is consulting his lawyers, claiming she is an unfit mother.

A source said: "Kerry is at her wit's end and has been calling Brian begging him not to take her kids away.

"She's been saying to him that she can't live without them, the kids are her whole life. Brian thinks her pleas are pathetic but really feels sorry for her. His main priority is the kids and he's had enough of Kerry's problems."

McFadden, who lives in Australia with his singer fiancée Delta Goodrem, 24, is reportedly pushing for full custody of the girls after Delta said she is willing to raise them as her own.

The source added: "Brian knows it will destroy Kerry if she loses her kids, but feels she has left him no choice. Her hysterical calls won't change his mind."

Since the footage of her alleged drug use, Katona has been dumped from her £250,000-a-year deal with food giant Iceland.

Yesterday, she apologised on Facebook, but blamed her antics on anti-depression.
