Katie Melua pregnant with first child as she unveils baby bump on tour
Katie Melua is pregnant with her first child and has unveiled her blossoming baby bump during a recent performance in Europe.
“Here we are, the team that’s hitting the road this summer. This will be my first tour with a baby bump! I can’t believe I’ve just written that,” she told fans.
“We’re heading to Zurich, Strasbourg, 6 German cities and Palanga. I’m gonna keep a vid diary to document the gigs and travel. Keep your fingers crossed there will only be one bump on the road!”
In a second post, Melua looked radiant as she fashioned a silky pink outfit while walking onto the stage and debuting her bump.
Melua was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages as fans shared their joy with the Nine Million Bicycles hitmaker.
“Such lovely news! Congratulations Katie xx,” penned one follower.
Another added: “Congratulations dear Katie. I wish you all the best for your pregnancy and the little baby who’s coming.”
In the coming days, Melua will also appear in several locations around Germany before wrapping up at a final performance in Lithuania.
Melua, notorious for keeping her private life firmly under wraps, has so far kept other details about her pregnancy secret.
The musician has been previously married to motorbike racer James Toseland before the couple confirmed their split in 2020. Since then, Melua has not revealed whether she is in a new relationship or the identity of her baby’s father.
