Joey Essex is unsure about whether he would ever propose to girlfriend Sam Faiers on The Only Way is Essex.

The bronzed reality star - who has had an on-off relationship with Sam since 2011 - is pleased with the way their romance is going, but isn't convinced he would want to pop the question on camera as part of the ITV2 show's storyline like their co-stars Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone.

Joey revealed: "It's going really well. I think if I do want to marry Sam I would be the one to pop the question, really. I'm not really sure if I would propose on the show because obviously, I don't really know anything yet so I'm not really sure!"

The 21-year-old star recently got back together with blonde beauty Sam, also 21, and confessed things are going strong this time around.
Sam also admitted that she felt ready to settle down and could see herself having children with Joey.

She said: "I want four kids. I want three or four. If me and Joey are doing PAs we could leave them with my sister Billie! As a family we are all really into children. We've always had kids in our family. I think I'd catch on to it really quick."
