Organisers of this week's National Movie Awards have been making last-minute preparations by putting the finishing touches to the prize-winners' trophies.

Hollywood figures such as Tom Cruise will be jetting in to attend the ITV1 awards bash which takes place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday.

And craftsmen at Asprey, the Queen's jeweller, have been putting the final polish on the gleaming trophies to match the stars' sparkle.
Winners of the awards are voted by TV viewers.

Teen movie hits from the Twilight series lead the field and account for five nominations.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been included on the best performance shortlist.

Also fighting it out in that category are Harry Potter actors Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
