Once a symbol for all things outlandish and bohemian, today GreenwichVillage has poshed up with sophisticated clubs and restaurants lining the streets. But the student culture at New York University keeps things lively and offbeat.
Mysterious Chandler
The enigmatic Chandler. No one knows quite what he does, or where he goes when he’s not jetting off to Tulsa. Still, he does seem to have a penchant for porn so you might find him browsing through the top shelf mags in Grand Central Station when he’s not getting into trouble with Monica or Joey.
Spiritual Phoebe
Phoebe loves her massages, spirituality and music. So we’d mostly expect to find her in a zen-like state in New York’s spas sorting out her Shakrahs (or something). That’s when she’s not routing around for new guitar tunes in Harlem.
Style-queen Rachel
Style queen Rachel loves her fashion and exudes class, she’ll most likely be found maxing out her credit cards on Madison or Fifth Avenues. And of course, she’s worked at the New York Harrods that is Bloomingdales (Lexington Street) and designer store Ralph Lauren (Madison Ave).
Fossil-loving Ross
Palaeontologist Ross just loves hanging out with the dinosaurs. You’ll find him at the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West and 79th St.
High-maintenance Monica
Chef Monica enjoys fine dining and would most likely turn her nose up at anything less than the most exquisite restaurant. She’ll be found around the finer haunts of the Greenwich Village district or the more trendy establishments of Upper East Side.
Hot-stuff Joey
Most likely to be found in a deli or looking for a new date, Joey can be spotted just about any place where there’s the possibility of a chance encounter with the opposite sex. In between acting, eating and dating, you’ll most likely spot him at a New York Knicks game.
