In his shiny gold shirt underneath his sharply cut suit, Frank Lampard looked strangely familiar as he left hip London restaurant Nobu in London's Knightsbridge last night.

And on closer inspection it appears the Chelsea star has taken inspiration from an unlikely quarter - Mike Myer's character, Goldmember.

Frank clearly shares a love of all things gold, just like the Austin Powers character in the third instalment of the hit 2002 film.

Thankfully Frank had forgone the heavy gold jewellery beloved by Goldmember, and his wardrobe didn't extend to a shiny gold jacket either. But the loud shirt more than made up for the omission.

The Chelsea striker was out with fiancee Elen Rives, who has come in for some criticism for her own unique fashion sense.

Spanish-born Elen, 29, once stepped out in a gaudy blue plaid dress, edged with a floral fabric, and paired with a bizarre pair of frilled knee-high stockings.

The couple have battled to save their relationship after Lampard, 29, denied cheating on the Spanish beauty after being spotted out with another woman in Las Vegas last year.
