David Walliams is proving he's still in touch with his inner 'laydee' as painters prepare to overhaul his London bachelor pad.

Among the shades of colours being canvassed for the makeover was a rather pretty shade of lilac.

It appears the star will have to make his choice from afar - he is currently in Los Angeles as he prepares to launch Little Britain USA with his comedy partner Matt Lucas.

Of course, he has managed to find time to mix business with pleasure while in America and was last night spotted dining at celebrity haunt Il Sole with a mystery blonde.

Walliams purchased the North-West London home in 2005, which he reportedly bought for £3million.
