A little of what you fancy is said to do you good.

But Charlotte Church fancied rather a lot on her break with girlfriends in Ibiza.

Her holiday diet of cocktails, vodka, Red Bull and burgers and chips has left her feeling less than svelte.

And with a few extra pounds back on, Miss Church, 18, has had to cancel a magazine photo shoot that was due this week until she slims down again.

Her mother Maria, 39, said the singer had a fabulous time on holiday but was certainly feeling the effects since she arrived home in Cardiff.

'She will have to go on a detox for a week and watch what she eats for a while,' she said.

'She had a really good time in Ibiza but knows she smoked too much and ate and drank a lot more than usual.

'But holidays are about relaxing and that's exactly what she did with her friends.

'Besides, Charlotte has always been naturally fit and it won't take her long to get back to her best.'

Miss Church lost a stone and a half after she broke up from her 19-year-old boyfriend Steven Johnson in December last year.

Her time with the DJ was spent in baggy sweatpants and a parka coat that hid her growing curves.

But when she turned 18 in February she revealed a newly-honed nine-stone figure. And a new boyfriend, Kyle Johnson.

Friends said she had complained that she had 'ballooned' after her week in Ibiza.

'When we landed Charlotte said she needed to go on a crash diet because she was having a photo shoot in a few days,' one said.

'We were all knackered and had drunk a lot and eaten a lot of fast food.

'She went to watch her boyfriend Kyle play football and had her last burger at the match.

'She was looking really good after her birthday and wants to get back to looking like that. She looks after herself and keeps fit by keeping busy.'
