With Valentine's Day approaching we took a look at the most loved up movie couples.

From Patrick Swayze pulling Jennifer Grey out of the corner for a raunchy rumba, to the swash-buckling love tale between Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, we love a good romance.

Who can forget that steamy scene with a young Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic, or his floppy curtains and bare chest during the "Romeo Romeo where art thou" scene with Clare Danes in Romeo and Juliet?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt set our pulses racing in Mr & Mrs Smith and went on to hook up when filming finished making them one of our favourite on and off screen couples.

With the help of a survey compiled by EMPIRE cinemas, we took a look at classics like Gone With the Wind to the sob inducing The Notebook to find the loved up couples we love to love.
