These previously unseen photos of Steve McQueen, taken by his close friend, the award-winning photographer Barry Feinstein, are to go on display in Soho next Thursday.

The images from 1960-68 capture the actor at the racetrack, relaxing and on set for Bullitt.

Dave Brolan, co-curator of Live For Myself, Answer To Nobody in Brewer Street, said the idea was born when 130 rolls of film were found. Limited edition prints, which have been compiled into a book called Unseen McQueen, will hang with contemporary pieces inspired by the actor, who died of cancer in 1980.
