Taylor Swift revealed her fears over secretly being recorded months before her feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian kicked off.

The US pop superstar told Capital FM that she “freaks out” at the idea of being taped.

Speaking on the radio station in February 2015 she said: "Don't even get me started on wiretaps. It's not a good thing for me to talk about socially. I freak out."

Swift has been embroiled in a public spat with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West over a controversial lyric in his latest single, Famous.

Swift claimed she did not give permission for West to use the lyric “I made that b**** famous” – but Kardashian posted a Snapchat which appeared to show Swift giving West the OK during a phone conversation.

Swift has since claimed that she was unaware that the conversation was being recorded.

She later released a statement and accused the husband and wife duo of "character assassination" and claimed she has been "falsely painted as a liar".

Several stars have stepped out in support of Swift including Ruby Rose and Chloe Moretz.

Sharon Osbourne also threw her support behind the singer and said West was obsessed with Swift and had "picked on" the wrong star.

Speaking on US chat show The Talk she said: "I honestly think that Kanye is obsessed with Taylor Swift. Seriously, he has an obsession. I think he's obsessed with the power that she has, with the money that she has… but he picked on the wrong one."

"He never thought that Taylor would become the powerhouse that she has become. And he doesn't have that power in the music industry that she has."
