This Morning made viewers feel old after they aired a throwback interview of the Spice Girls from 20 years ago.

The daytime show played the girl group’s first ever TV performance in celebration of the anniversary of their debut single Wannabe.

Geri Horner (Ginger Spice), Mel C (Sporty Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Mel B (Scary Spice) spoke to GMTV presenter Ross Kelly in their “performance gear” on London's Southbank in 1996.

Speaking about their friendship, Beckham said: "We lived together for about nine months which was absolutely mad."

When asked if they behaved badly, Mel C replied: "We're all good girls."

Horner added: "It was girls behaving badly."

A special plaque was later placed by the Thames to mark the spot of their debut performance.

Horner, Bunton and Mel B have reunited under the moniker ‘GEM’ to celebrate their milestone anniversary. Beckham ruled herself out to focus on her fashion empire while Mel C said she was unable to take part because of her solo music career.

The newly formed trio thanked fans for their continued support in a YouTube video on Friday morning and also confirmed plans to throw a party.

“We’ve been thinking we have the best fans in the whole entire world and we want to celebrate and have a party," Mel B told viewers.

“And when we do you’re all invited.”

They are reportedly in talks to play a reunion concert in Hyde Park next summer - a year after the anniversary.

A source told The Sun: “Mel B, Emma and Geri agreed Hyde Park would be the ultimate way to launch a reunion next July for their 21st anniversary.

“It gives them a year to plan everything and make sure their comeback is spectacular. It would be the most-talked about gig of the year.”
