Ryan Thomas has reportedly received an apology from Roxanne Pallett, weeks after she accused him of being a “woman beater” on Celebrity Big Brother.

Thomas was issued with a formal warning after Pallett alleged he “punched” her in the ribs “repeatedly” despite the footage showing that the incident simply involved a light-hearted play-fight.

Pallett apologised for claiming his actions were “deliberate,” saying she “got it wrong”.

According to The Sun the former Emmerdale actress has put pen to paper to write Thomas an apology letter.

“Ryan has finally received his letter from Roxanne,” a source told the publication.

“It was very heartfelt and unreservedly apologetic. He wants to put it to bed now and move on.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Pallett and Thomas for comment.

It comes days after Thomas said he is tired of being asked about the incident, saying he wants to “move on”.

He told MailOnline: “I've been asked about it so many times and I just want to move on from it now. I want to focus on family and friends. I'm so tired of the same question.

“All my family have said about it is how proud they are of me and Celebrity Big Brother and they're all really positive and there's been no question about it.”

Thomas previously accepted Pallett’s apology and said he did not want to see her become the target of a witch hunt.

Speaking on the Jeremy Vine show he said: “I think Roxanne has been through a lot. Big Brother makes headlines, sometimes for the wrong reasons. I appreciate Roxanne’s apology and it’s time to move forward and not dwell on the past.

“She’s suffered enough and I don’t want to be a part of that.”

The incident sparked more than 11,000 complaints to Ofcom after the scenes were shown to viewers, prompting a fierce backlash against Pallett.
