Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt looked dapper as they posed for photos together at the premiere of The Big Short.

The Hollywood heartthobs both dressed up in suits and ties for the New York opening of the eagerly-anticipated new film at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Monday night.

They were joined on the red carpet by other members of the stellar cast including Steve Carrell and Jeremy Strong.

Director Adam McKay also got the style memo and put his arms around his cast as they all posed up ahead of the screening.

Featuring an all-star cast, The Big Short closed the this year’s AFI Film Festival last month and is due to hit cinemas before the end of the year.

The Paramount Pictures film is based on Michael Lewis’ novel about a group of men who bet against the banks ahead of the housing crash of 2008.

Based on true story, the plot follows the group as they strike it rich just as the bubble bursts and the world goes into economic meltdown.

The Big Short was originally set for release in 2016 but has been brought forward as the studio was reportedly so impressed with the finished edit.

Thanks to its earlier release date, the film is now being pegged as one of the biggest contenders for the forthcoming Oscar race.
