Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham announce arrival of baby Jack in Instagram post

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Stratham have announced the arrival of their first baby in a cute Instagram post.

The British model and actress, 30, informed fans of the new arrival on Wednesday evening, announcing that they’d named the newborn Jack Oscar Statham.

Sharing a photo of herself holding Jack’s hand, the British star wrote: “Our little man arrived! Jack Oscar Statham - 8.8lbs on Saturday June 24th.”

Huntington-Whiteley announced her pregnancy in a similar way earlier this year, posting a picture of her baby bump while on holiday.

“Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x Photo by @jasonstatham,” she wrote.

Huntington-Whiteley spoke previously about wanting to start a family with Statham.

Speaking to the EDIT in 2015 she said: “Having a family is something I think about for sure, and whether I'd live here in America or in England.

“But it's not always as simple as that…I have no idea what will happen, but it'll be interesting to find out, right? And nothing will be perfect, I'm sure.”

She also told ELLE that she had always wanted to become a mother. “I always see myself working, but definitely being a mum will be a big part of me,” she said. “I think there is naturally a point where you think, 'I don’t care about myself as number one any more. I want to care about other things.'”

The new addition comes a year after she confirmed her engagement to the Revolver actor by flashing her diamond ring on the Golden Globes red carpet.
