Katy Perry dazzled on the red carpet decked out in 50s movie star glamour.

Wearing a strapless velvet dress and with retro curls in her purple hair the singer looked a natural as she arrived for the premiere of her new film Part of Me.

later on Katy topped her red carpet elegance by taking to the stage in a custom made cinema themed outfit which consisted of a film reel bra and popcorn skirt.

Part of Me is a documentary about Katy's life and includes her split from ex-husband Russell Brand.
