Paris Hilton fans confused as she teams up with Lidl for new hair care range

Paris Hilton has announced that she’s launching a new hair care collection for budget supermarket Lidl, and her fans are a little confused.

The US star and hotel heiress, who is certainly used to the finer things in life, has revealed that she’s teamed up with the German chain for her latest beauty range.

Making the surprise announcement on Tuesday evening, the 35-year-old wrote on Twitter:

“I‘m excited to share my new collection from @lidl with you! Be the first to get it: @lidl #HereComesParis #Hair #BTS #Blonde #Beauty.”

The collection on Lidl’s website features pink hairdryers, straighteners, curlers and brushes.

“OMG, I thought this was a joke? Lol,” wrote one baffled fan on Twitter.

“No way is paris hilton collaborating with LIDL wHAT THE HELL IS 2016” someone else posted.

Other Hilton fans were over-the-moon that the socialite had launched an affordable range of grooming products.

“Omg no this is too much. Didn't even know I needed this,” one follower posted.

Another added: “Who's the marketing genius that bagged @ParisHilton for @lidl because that's major!!!”

“it's so real and i'm about to buy it all,” wrote another.

Hilton isn’t the first US star to launch a beauty range with Lidl as Britney Spears did something similar back in 2012.

The pop superstar’s collection was rather similar to Hilton’s, featuring hairdryers, brushes and straighteners.
