Michelle Keegan’s Bobby Moore drama filming thwarted by German tourists in poolside 'sunbed protest'

Filming on ITV’s new Bobby Moore drama hit a snag when German holidaymakers staged a ‘sunbed protest’ at a Majorcan hotel.

Actress Michelle Keegan was meant to be shooting a scene in the pool at the Hotel Beverly Playa in Peguera.

However, the production was forced to move to the kids’ pool when German tourists complained about not being able to set their towels down.

“The Germans were up early holding their towels, wanting to get out to the pool,” a source told The Sun.

“The large pool and all the sunbeds had been cornered off and they started complaining in the hotel reception.

“They were pretty annoyed that it was a British film crew ruining their holiday — and they were livid when they found out that it was about [Germany's 1966 World Cup] defeat.”

The hotel guests remained by the regular pool as the ITV shoot moved to the children’s area.

The drama is set to follow England’s 1966 World Cup final win against Germany.

Keegan is starring as Tina Moore, and Lorne McFayden is starring as England captain Bobby.

The three-part drama, titled Tina and Bobby, is due to air on ITV in 2017.

Keegan is currently starring in the second series of BBC war drama Our Girl, taking over from former lead actress Lacey Turner.
