Mason Noise admits that he missed The X Factor final because of ‘logistical miscommunication’

Mason Noise has insisted that he did not boycott the X Factor final.

Explaining the reason behind his no-show, the singer has said that there was ‘logistical miscommunication’ between his management and the ITV team.

While many viewers seemed convinced that the temperamental star missed the group finale as an act of defiance, he has set the record straight.

Speaking to the Press Association, he said: “It wasn't really a choice [to not appear].

“There was some problem with my management and The X Factor and then miscommunication logistically so I couldn't get there.

“I think it must have just been by accident, either they couldn't work it out or didn't respond,” he added.

Despite the logistical nightmare, the contestant didn’t seem oto worried about missing out on the final group song.

He said: “I didn't miss out. After watching it, it wasn't a great loss. After watching it, I was like, well, I don't think I would have fitted in there.”

The star was the only contestant not to be reunited on stage for the group performance of Downtown by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

After the show he cryptically tweeted: “I stand for what I believe in #AWE.”
