Love Island winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies split after ‘furious rows’

Reality TV stars Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies have announced their split.

The couple, who met on Love Island this summer, blamed hectic schedules for the decision, which they said was made with “sadness”.

In a statement they said: “With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us.

“Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends.”

The news comes weeks after it was reported that the pair were having “furious rows” after moving in together in Essex.

A source told The Sun: “They’ve been at each other’s necks for the past month. They’ve been living on top of each other and clashed over the smallest things.

“It’s also been very hard for them to see each other with their hectic schedules. They tried to make it work but realised they want different things and being together was too tough.”

The couple made their last public appearance together at the Price of Sport Awards last month.

Cetinay is currently gearing up for Dancing on Ice, which returns to ITV next year. The former hairdresser previously said he was not fearful of falling victim to a Strictly Come Dancing-style curse.

Speaking to the Daily Star he said: “Amber trusts me and she's comfortable with it. People talk about the Strictly curse and whatever but whoever does that can't be very comfortable in their relationships.”
