US actress Lindsay Lohan was attacked by a snake while holidaying in Thailand.

The 31-year-old was bitten by the reptile during a hike in Phuket.

Lohan showed off the wound on Instagram as she reassured fans that she is “OK”.

Speaking in a video she said: “I love this it’s so beautiful, an amazing place, aside from my snake bite. I’m in Phuket in Thailand I got bit by a snake on a hike the other day.”

Lohan focused the camera on her leg to show the red marks on her punctured calf.

She continued: “The positive side of it is I’m OK. Happy New Year and God bless. My Shaman told me it was good luck and positive and energy.”

Lohan is enjoying the festive season in Thailand after moving to Dubai from the US earlier this year.

Lindsay Lohan says she was racially profiled at airport

Speaking to the Daily Mail about her decision to relocate she said: “I love living in New York, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life.

“I don't always have to be scrutinized every second. I can have a private life and have a public life, but when I choose to. And I think that's really important.”

Recalling the alleged incident on Good Morning Britain she said: “When I was flying to New York recently, I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and racially profiled for the first time in my life at Heathrow Airport.

“She opened my passport and saw ‘Lindsay Lohan’ and started immediately apologising but then said, ‘Please take off your head scarf’.”
