A number of stars including Kylie Jenner and Keith Richards had their Twitter accounts hacked over the weekend.

Following a tweet from Tenacious D’s Twitter account on Sunday morning, falsely claiming that Jack Black had died, a number of other verified users found themselves under attack.

Rolling Stones rocker Richards left fans bemused when a series of nonsensical tweets were posted on his account, making claims including “I love killing people.”

A representative for Richards later tweeted to confirm that he had been hacked, writing:

“Earlier today Keith’s Twitter account was hacked along with other verified accounts. The hateful tweets that were posted have been removed.”

Late on Sunday night, reality star Jenner also found herself the victim of social media hackers.

One post on her account simply read: “I love being famous with no talent.”

Another referenced her relationship with Tyga, which read: “Well my sex tape with tyga was trash.”

Musician Bon Iver was also hacked on Sunday after his account tweeted a derogatory comment about the death of Muhammed Ali.

The post was later deleted and Iver wrote: “Very sorry, everyone. We were hacked. Trying to fix the account now. Stand by. @twitter @Support.”

Fans of actor and musician Jack Black were left reeling on Sunday morning after his band’s official account tweeted that he had passed away.

Hours after the post went live, the band regained control of their account and wrote: “WE had our Twitter account hacked. We can assure you that Jack is ALIVE and WELL and that this was a sick "prank".”
