Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen introduce daughter Milena after gruelling labour

Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen have introduced the world to their newborn daughter, Milena.

The celebrity couple welcomed their first child together on June 24.

In their first interview together as parents, Rihanoff told Hello! she is in “a happy place” after enduring a gruelling 19-and-a-half-hour labour.

Cohen said he became worried during the birth after they were told the umbilical cord was wrapped around their daughter’s neck.

“Every time Kristina pushed, the cord was pulling the baby back,” he said. “There comes a point when it is not happening and you do worry.”

Recalling the labour Rihanoff said: “I was squeezing his hand so hard that I thought I might break it. I can't even begin to describe the pain, but it's an incredibly proud moment when you see your baby for the first time. It's an incredible feeling of love.

“It's the feeling of being settled. I'm in a happy place. I feel a sense of security with Ben being next to me.”

Cohen said Rihanoff was “amazing” and described her as a “natural mum”.

The rugby star said: “Mila has changed the dynamic - another little human in our lives. She is our creation and that is amazing.

“Kristina is a natural mum. It was very emotional and it gives you even more respect - it's nature at its best. I'm proud of Kristina, proud of Mila and proud to be a dad again.”

Rihanoff announced she was pregnant in January during her stay in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Cohen and Rhianoff have been dating since 2013 after they met on Strictly Come Dancing.

He has two daughters, Isabelle and Harriette, with his ex-wife Abby.
