US comedian Kevin Hart couldn’t resist playing along with a ‘fan’ who mistook him for Chris Rock.

Hart, 36, was approached by a woman who believed she was meeting Oscars host Chris Rock.

Rather than correct the female ‘fan’, Hart decided to play along and recorded the meeting on his phone.

He posted the video alongside the caption: “These are the moments that keep me Humble #RockTheWorld #AllYouCanDoIsLaugh.”

The 10 second clip shows the woman ask: “Are you Chris Rock?”

“Yes I am. Pleasure to meet you,” Hart replies before inviting her to a fictional comedy show.

“Make sure you come to my show tonight,” he says. “It’s called Rock the World.”

The Snapchat video featured a line of crying with laughter emojis alongside the caption: “These are the moments that I love. She really thinks I’m Chris Rock.”

One fan posted: "I can't stop laughing."

Another wrote: "WTF this man looks nothing like Chris Rock just damn ignorant!!!"
