Katie Hopkins has waded into Amy Schumer’s row with Glamour Magazine over their plus size issue.

The controversial TV star, who has just undergone brain surgery, has branded the comic a ‘chubber’ in her latest Twitter rant.

After Schumer criticised US Glamour for including her in their issue, Hopkins couldn’t resist giving her opinion on the matter.

Posting a picture of the actress, Hopkins wrote: “Amy Schumer is not happy about being labelled plus-size. Strange, I thought chubbers said it was empowering.”

Twitter users were quick to call out Hopkins for her ‘body-shaming’ remarks, with one follower writing:

“'Chubbers' is a phrase beloved by insecure schoolground bullies. I'm always surprised to hear it used by someone over age 17.”

Another person wrote: “Well done for bringing out all the fat shaming.... You're a bully! Your mother must be so proud.”

Schumer called out the magazine in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening, writing: “I think there's nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women.

Katie Hopkins' top five most controversial comments

“Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn't feel right to me.

“Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”

Glamour’s Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive has since tweeted to say: “We love Amy Schumer, & would never want to offend her. To be clear, @glamourmag special edition never called her plus-size...

“Her 2015 cover story was included in the edition, aimed at sizes 12 and up, with the coverline “Women who Inspire Us” bc…

“…her longtime message of body positivity—& talking back to body haters—IS inspiring. (To me, too!)”
