Harry Styles debuts new song Carolina as he performs on Today show

Harry Styles sent fans into a frenzy when he debuted his new song Carolina on the Today show.

Styles, 23, performed the track to thousands of fans outside the Rockefeller Center in New York on Tuesday morning.

The former One Direction singer made sure to stand out in a bright pink suit as he kicked off the mini concert with Ever Since New York and Carolina before wrapping up with his chart topping hit, Sign of the Times.

Hoards of adoring fans had camped out over night to catch a glimpse of the pop superstar who treated them all to pizzas.

Four lucky fans, including one who had ‘STYLES’ written on her forehead, were welcomed up on stage after making an 11 hour drive from Michigan.

The performance marked Styles’ third as a solo artist following on from Saturday Night Live and The Graham Norton Show.

Styles is busy promoting his upcoming self-titled debut solo album which is slated for release on Friday.

He will tour the record later this year, kicking off in San Francisco before heading to Europe which will see him play four venues across the UK including London's O2 arena.

Fans begged him to add extra performances after tickets for the 29-date tour sold out in seconds.

Styles is the latest One Direction member to release solo material. Zayn Malik dropped his album Mind of Mine last year, as well as Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan who released singles. Liam Payne is rumoured to be working on his own work.
