Ferne McCann has confessed her love for George Shelley, but said she hasn't kissed her former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here camp mate – yet.

The jungle duo struck up a close friendship on the ITV reality show and sparked romance rumours among their fellow campmates.

Speaking on This Morning, the TOWIE star told Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard that she loves Union J singer Shelley.

She said: “Do you know what, we got so close in there, and we were the youngest two people in camp and it was inevitable that we were going to get on.”

When asked if she fancies Shelley McCann blushed and replied: “I skipped the fancy stage - I love him! We get on very well as friends... I’m going really red and hot!”

Addressing claims that the pair were putting on a ‘showmance’, she said: “People keep saying that it must be a ‘showmance’ but it’s the complete opposite. What we have is genuine. we’ve got a fantastic friendship - and we’ve just got back!”

Shelley said: “It's like being put in a pressure cooker with the whole situation in the jungle… and we obviously get on, we obviously have a connection, and we are are looking forward to seeing what happens.”

When Shephard quizzed the pair on whether or not they kissed at the wrap party, the pair looked at each other, before McCann insisted: “No, we didn’t kiss. No, we haven’t kissed!”

McCann also spoke about her friendship with Queen of the Jungle, Vicky Pattison.

Despite the public expecting the pair to come to blows in the jungle camp over men they have previously dated, they formed a close friendship.

“I even thought that we were going to be really similar and that we were going to clash, but we are the complete opposite and got on so well," she said. "Whatever happened in the past, I never hold grudges, and she doesn’t and we forgot about all of that. I’m so glad she was in there. She was my best bud in there. I’m so pleased that I met her and gained an amazing friend for life.”
