As far as unusual properties go, Metherell Towers is streaks ahead. The nine-bedroom Victorian mansion in Beaworthy, North Devon, has a nudist camp on site.

The house is being auctioned in separate lots - the main house valued at £250,000 and the naturist colony, first opened in 1936, at £150,000.

Agent Gordon Millar said: 'I don't know of any other naturist clubs tucked away in sleepy North Devon.'
