Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter 'split' weeks after rekindling romance
Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter have split just weeks after rekindling their romance, according to reports.
The pair are believed to have split due to their busy careers.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “They are finding it hard to spend time together as Ellie’s music career takes her all over the world and she is pulled in different directions.
“Dougie is trying to make it in America as an actor and they are drifting apart."
Celebrity couples who split
The pair were dating for two years before splitting in December 2015.
They got back together in January with Goulding telling Red magazine: “You don’t throw something like that away so easily.”
Goulding, 29, is currently on the Europe leg of her world tour which will take her across North America.
Poynter is living in Los Angeles at present to focus on kick starting a career as an actor.
Speaking about Poynter’s acting talent on Lorraine, Goulding said recently: "He's started acting which is amazing and he's a complete natural so I'm excited to see what comes of that.”
