Multiple award-winner Daniel Kitson is famous for not wanting to be famous and has refused umpteen offers to appear on television.

Titter feed has recently discovered, however, that this was not always the case. Back in 1999 he was profiled in a C4 documentary called The Other Side: Edinburgh Madness.

In the programme, which can be seen in the British Film Institute archives (bfi.org.uk) the 22-year-old is shown at the Edinburgh Festival doing smutty stand-up in the back of a truck to an appreciative if sparse audience as part of a show called The Monkey Touchers.

Who knows what other treasures the illuminating archives have to offer the patient trawler.
