Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has revealed that she doesn’t enjoy living her life in the spotlight.

The X Factor judge told the Times magazine that she’d love the opportunity to continue her music career out of the public eye.

Speaking to the magazine newlywed Cheryl said: “Trust us, it's the one thing I could do without, is fame. If I could live this life, without being famous, I would.”

She added: “Some groups and some stars, you never see in the paper.”

However the singer and TV personality can see why people are interested in her, especially after her whirlwind romance and marriage to French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

When asked why she thought the press and public were interested in her, Cheryl explained: “Me background. Me story. Me. I'm tabloid fodder.”

The star has gained a lot of press attention in the last month, after she revealed she’d married Jean-Bernard after just three months of dating.

The couple married in secret in Mustique, after going public with their relationship at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
