Celebrity Big Brother evictee Chloe Ayling calls Jermaine Pennant ‘disgusting’ and wants to 'apologise' to his wife

Celebrity Big Brother evictee Chloe Ayling has apologised to Jermaine Pennant’s wife for flirting with the footballer despite not being made aware that he was married.

The former Liverpool player, 35, wrote love notes to Ayling and shared a bed with the model, telling her he was in a fledgling relationship with another woman outside of the house.

But on being booted out of the Borehamwood bungalow, host Emma Willis informed Ayling that Pennant had been lying about the status of his relationship, revealing he is married to Alice Goodwin.

“I would apologise,” Ayling told Metro. “But then I’d have to say that I can only go by what he’s told me and I know nothing else.

“When you’re in that house, you’re only with 13 other people and there’s no other way of checking what he’s saying is true. I can only believe that.”

She continued: “I’m sorry this has happened but then it’s his problem and I don’t think he’s worth it at all if he’d publicly do that in front of your wife watching at home.”

Pennant and Goodwin married in 2014 after meeting in 2011.

Ayling branded him “disgusting” after Willis broke the shock news during her exit interview, and said she feels he led her on.

“I don’t even know what to say to that,” she said. “That’s just disgusting, to be married and crack on with someone on TV when you’re wife is going to see that.”

Ayling's eviction came hours after she confronted Pennant about his lies, asking him why he told her his relationship was “f****** over” but painted a different picture to their fellow housemates.

“I'm just confused about the situation. I think we need to talk about it,” she said.

“What you told me on the note is different for what you're telling other people.”

Jermaine replied: “Don't worry about it. It's fine, it's fine. When we get out we'll talk. We'll go out.”
