Angelina Jolie reveals her children inspired Versace wedding dress

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie- who tied the knot at French estate Chateau Miraval on August 23 – wanted to make sure that their six strong brood played a big part on their special day.

The mum of six looked stunning in a simple but chic white satin gown with tight bodice and flowing skirt, and allowed her children to design the veil with their own artwork.

The dresses designer, Atelier Versace master tailor Luigi Massi, hand-sewed the children's drawings onto the long veil and back of the dress.

“He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”

The Jolie-Pitt wedding day was tailor-made to be family orientated and as much about the children as it was Brad and Angelina. The newlyweds said: “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter.

“It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”

The wedding date was carefully chosen to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith – the movie where the couple met and fell in love.
