Angelina Jolie has opened up about the ‘extremes’ of being in a relationship.

Discussing her new film By The Sea, in which she stars opposite husband Brad Pitt, the A-lister said:

“Relationships have those extremes. You can absolutely madly love the same person you want to kill.”

Speaking in a brand new featurette for the forthcoming film, which is directed by Jolie, Pitt, 51, added:

“It's the puzzle of figuring out those things that get in the way of really loving someone.

The drama, which opens next month, centres on the troubled marriage of an American writer and his wife.

Jolie, 40, went on to admit that when she penned the film, she didn’t think that they would be starring in it.
