Alexandra Burke unveiled a new lipstick range in central London last night, but had to draft in extra security after receiving death threats on Twitter.

The X Factor star received a barrage of hate-filled tweets after she announced she would be holding the launch night for her new lipstick range, Lip Boom, at the Rose Club.

As well as threatening to throw bricks at the singer the internet troll tweeted: "I'm going to kill you tonight" and "prepare to die."

The 23 year-old contacted twitter asking them to remove the user from the site.

Her mother Melissa, was so upset by the tirade that she contacted the police who met them outside the club and escorted them inside

But Alexandra's own security team weren't taking any risks either and enlisted extra body guards to stay by the singer's side throughout the launch.
